Cambodia, Indonesia Committed to Further Fostering Bilateral Cooperation


Cambodia and Indonesia highly value their excellent cooperation in the past 65 years of diplomatic relations, and vowed to further boosting it for their mutual interest.

The commitment was made by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and Indonesian President H.E. Joko Widodo during their meeting in Melbourne on Mar. 5, on the sidelines of the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN-Australia Dialogue Relations.

Both leaders expressed their delight to meet each other again, after their bilateral meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia in September 2023.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and H.E. Joko Widodo discussed key areas that are subject to further strengthening and expanding cooperation and common interests between Cambodia and Indonesia, including diplomacy, economy and trade, tourism and security.

The two leaders agreed to continue to promote the cooperation in the said sectors as well as to further enhance cooperation in other potential fields.

e same time, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked H.E. Joko Widodo for the invitation to pay an official visit to Indonesia at any convenient time in the future.
