COVID-19: Nearly 500 New Cases, including 44 Imported

Cambodia detected 495 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19); brining the tally to 39,464, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health made public this morning.
Of the new infections, 44 are imported and the rest are community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident, it pointed out.
At the same time, it added, 604 more patients have successfully recovered; the total number of cured cases in the Kingdom rose to 33,571.
Besides, 13 new deaths were registered; the death toll thus increased to 361, the same source said.
The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
