The daily new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Cambodia continue to drop even though in a slow pace.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Health issued this morning, 401 new infections of COVID-19 were detected, of which 116 were imported and the rest were community cases connected to the Feb. 20 outbreak.
The tally thus jumped to 91,770, including 14,824 imported cases, the same source pointed out.
Besides, 475 new recoveries and 12 new deaths were recorded; bringing the total cured cases and death toll in the Kingdom to 87,774 and 1,870, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was reported in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 Community Event.
