KUALA LUMPUR: Ministry of Youth and Sports to Discuss Rakan Muda Programme with Ministry of Education

KUALA LUMPUR — A crucial meeting is scheduled for tomorrow between the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) and the Ministry of Education (MOE) to deliberate on collaborative efforts for implementing a variety of programs under the Rakan Muda Initiative starting next year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, reports that KBS Deputy Minister Adam Adli Abdul Halim announced the meeting will include participation from the directors-general of the MOE and the National Youth and Sports Department (JBSN).

Adam Adli elaborated on the aspirations of the KBS to broaden the scope of the Rakan Muda programme, aiming for active student participation across all ministries. He made these remarks during the Supply Bill 2024 debate at the KBS Ministry level at the Dewan Rakyat today. In addition, Adam Adli revealed that discussions have been held regarding the age eligibility for each sport to be contested at the Malaysia Games (Sukma), involving the national sports associations participating in this biennial multi-sport event.
