MUIP RECEIVES OVER RM2.8 MLN IN BUSINESS TITHE

Pahang Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MUIP) received over RM2.8 million in business zakat (tithe) for the year 2022 from 12 corporate entities today.

It was handed over to MUIP deputy president of MUIP, who is also the Pahang Zakat Collection Centre chairman, Tengku Panglima Raja Colonel Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah, in a brief ceremony held here.

Alam Flora Group made the highest payment among corporate entities, contributing over RM1.48 million, followed by PKPP Agro Sdn Bhd with RM210,709, and then by Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (ANGKASA), which contributed a total of RM198,722.

Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad contributed RM169,815, followed by Tanah Makmur Berhad (RM140,000), KMI Kuantan Medical Centre Sdn Bhd (RM123,339), and Koperasi Perkhidmatan Pendidikan Melayu Pahang Timur Berhad (RM109,000).

Meanwhile, MUIP Plantation Sdn Bhd, MUIP Dialysis Centre, and LKPP Pahang Cooperative Berhad each made payments of RM100,000 while Bank Simpanan Nasional donated RM80,000 and Public Islamic Bank Berhad contributed RM70,000.

Also present were MUIP chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Hairi Hussain and Pahang Zakat and Waqf Collection Centre senior general manager Datuk Halidan Md Daud
