PM Hun Sen Says “No More Lockdown”

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia said that the Kingdom will not impose the ‘lockdown’ measure anymore to curb the COVID-19 spread.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of a Japan-funded sewage treatment plant in Phnom Penh on Feb. 22, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the measure of ‘lockdown the country’ will no longer be used as Cambodia’s vaccination rate is high.
“I’d like to confirm in response to circulating rumors of city and country closures that there will be no lockdown anymore. As the Prime Minister who has full authority to order the closure or opening, I do not implement any lockdown measure,” Samdech Techo Hun Sen said.
The Premier asked people not to worry about the closure of the country again, as it would lead to panic and increase in commodity prices.
