Rays of Hope for Kun Khmer SEA Championship 2022

Kun Khmer SEA Championship 2022 have been completed successfully with a hope for good performance at the SEA Games 2023 in Cambodia.

The note was shared by H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the Cambodian SEA Games Organising Committee (CAMSOC).

The Secretary General spoke highly of the organisation of the event, especially the arbitrators’ and judges’ respect of common principles of Kun Khmer and Muay stated in the SEA Games Constitution.

According to CAMSOC, Cambodia won 9 medals (7 gold and 2 silver) at the Kun Khmer SEA Championship.

The gold medallists are Mr. Khhun Bora, Ms. Touch Chanvotey, Mr. Kham Khlaneang, Mr. Phun Piseth, Mr. Lao Chetra, Mr. Him Koemrieng and Ms. Moeuy Soeng.

The silver medallists include Mr. Vannm Voeun and Ms. Chha Chandeng.

Taking place from Dec. 9 to 11 in Preah Sihanouk province, the event organised to cheer the 9th SEA Festival (Round 3), attracted the participation of 142 athletes from 7 countries including Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, and Vietnam.

It was a good opportunity to measure the capacity of athletes as well as to allow Cambodian technical officials, arbitrators and judges to draw more experience to get prepared for the SEA Games 2023.
