Royal Malaysian Navy Band Delights Audience at Sultan Nazrin Shah Run in Taiping

Taiping – A captivating performance by the band from the Lumut Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) base enthralled thousands at the Padang Esplanade during the 2023 Sultan Nazrin Shah Birthday Run.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, The 68-member band, donning their TLDM uniforms, impressed the audience with their precision formations, dances, a drum line performance, and a ‘fire dragon’ show. Warrant Officer 1 Azumie Zainal, the band leader, highlighted the inclusion of both male and female officers in the team’s daredevil performances, showcasing their discipline and bravery. The band, known for its local and international engagements, has performed in events such as the World Navy and K-Pop Concerts in Jeju Island, South Korea. Visitors, including Sarimah Zakaria and her children, expressed their admiration for the band’s performance and the variety of activities at the event, including a combat demonstration and skydiving performances by the TLDM.
