Cambodia has expressed its support for the origin-tracing of COVID-19 pandemic, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health made public this evening.
The investigation into the virus’ origins is purely scientific, the ministry said.
“Cambodia supports the scientific search for the origins of the virus and strongly opposes the use of political manipulation of scientific results and the imposition of burdens on others without clear scientific evidence,” underlined the press release.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, China was the target of the blame game concerning the virus’ source, and Chinese and Asian people became victims of hatred and discrimination in some Western nations.
