Cambodian alumni of Australian universities have been recognised for outstanding achievement, underlined the Australian Embassy in Cambodia.
“We’re proud to celebrate the achievements of Cambodian alumni of Australian universities who gone on to make outstanding contributions to the community after their time in Australia,” he said.
According to the embassy, Dr. Eng Netra won the Alumnus of the Year Award 2020 for her incredible contributions in policy research, particularly around governance and decentralisation. A graduate of Monash University with a PhD in Political Science, to this day she actively collaborates with the policy research community in Australia.
Ain Chean Toing was awarded the Community Leadership Award for his outstanding work to support the most vulnerable communities in Cambodia. He has leveraged his Master of Education from The University of Adelaide to create a direct noticeable benefit in the communities he works with.
Sao Sereysothea received the Young Leadership Award for her strong drive and engagement after undertaking a Master of Global Food and Agricultural Business at the University of Adelaide. In addition to supporting and mobilising other alumni, she is also a start-up founder, and actively maintains links with her Australian contacts.
