Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet Embarks on Diplomatic Mission to China for Regional Summits.


Phnom Penh: A high-level delegation led by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet departed this afternoon for China to attend a series of summits in Kunming, Yunnan province, scheduled from November 6 to 7. The delegation’s departure from Phnom Penh International Airport was marked by the presence of deputy prime ministers, senior ministers, and numerous senior government officials, alongside the Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, H.E. Wang Wenbin.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet will take part in the 8th Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) Summit, themed “Toward a Better Community Through Innovation-driven Development.” He will also participate in the 10th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit, focusing on “Towards Seamless Connectivity for Mekong Sub-regional Integration,” and the 11th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Summit, under the theme “Friendship and Solidarity for Resilient and Prosperous Community.”

The summits aim
to review achievements and set future directions to expand cooperation, promote mutual trust, and strengthen partnerships among member countries. This effort seeks to contribute to socio-economic development and enhance the well-being of people in the region, emphasizing the importance of sustained peace, sustainable development, and peaceful co-existence among member nations.

During his visit to Kunming, Samdech Thipadei is anticipated to hold bilateral meetings with foreign leaders and business figures. Accompanying him are notable figures such as H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Chhieng Yanara, Senior Minister in charge of Special Missions, as well as other ministers, key government officials, and business leaders from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and the Cambodian Oknha Association.
