A farmer in Sen Sam village, O’ Svay commune, Trapaing Prasat district, Oddar Meanchey northwestern province is the 5 millionth person to get vaccinated against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Nop Mean, 70, will receive 10 million Riel (US$2,500) and other donations from Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen like the first, second, third and fourth millionth.
On his official Facebook page on July 13, the Premier expressed his congratulations to Mr. Nop Mean for being the 5th millionth vaccinated person.
H.E. Dr. Or Vandine, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health and Chairwoman of the National Ad-hoc Commission for COVID-19 Vaccination, will directly hand over the cash prize and donations to Mr. Nop Mean, Samdech Techo Hun Sen added.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister thanked all his compatriots for participating in the fight against COVID-19 by getting vaccinated and praised the medical teams and local authorities at all levels for their contribution to the vaccination campaign whose coverage now reached 50 percent of the planned 10 million people for the vaccination.
