A total of 588 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were reported in Cambodia this morning; bringing the tally to 85,448, said a press release of the Ministry of Health.
Of the new infections, it continued, 193 were imported and the rest were community cases linked to the Feb. 20 incident.
Besides, the ministry announced the recovery of 742 more patients, but 17 new deaths; the total recovered and death cases in the Kingdom thus rose to 80,396 and 1,683, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province. The confirmed cases have surged quickly this year due to the Feb. 20 community outbreak.
